During these past 5 years at Mayberry Centre I have been responsible for taking our very popular and successful stretch classes. Alongside these classes I also give rehabilitiation advice and instruction, which I find extremely rewarding.
During my work-life I have intermittently been involved within the care industry. I have worked with young adults with learning difficulties and spent time in the NHS working in admin at a Health Centre. After having my child, I was given the opportunity to re-train within the same sector, and so I began with Swedish massage. Once qualified, I wanted to add to the holistic side of treamtents and therefore qualified next in aromatherapy. Moving forward, I then trained in sports massage.
Separately, I had a keen interest (due to vanity).... for beauty and facials. After noticing a remarkably improved dfference with a lady who had been having micro-current facial treatments, I decided that this was a line of work that I could offer, at affordable prices. I attended the Carlton Beauty Acadamy and qualified in 2011.
In 2012 I graduated from The College of St. Mark and St. John with a 2:1 in Sports Therapy. I have been working at the Mayberry Centre for about two years regularly running Stretch classes. In addition, I also provide Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish Massage, Kinesiology Taping, Touch for Health Kinesiology and Manual Lymphatic Drainage treatments, along with my specific knowledge of sporting injuries.
As well as my involvement within the Mayberry Centre, I previously worked with Dartmouth Football club for two seasons as their Sports Therapist. My role consisted of providing pre/post treatment, Athletic Taping and Kinesiology taping. I have also worked within a university run sports injury clinic for three years.
I have been involved with health, fitness and wellbeing for 20 years. I primarily work with structure and alignment of the body. I can tailor treatments for people with a wide range of ailments from a simple strain and bruising, right through to back pain and cardiac rehabilitation. I use techniques such as Remedial Massage, Hot & Cold Stones, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Assisted Stretching and Exercise Prescription.
The main focus of my work latterly is Colonic Hydrotherapy (cleansing the bowels with water) this provides a rebalance for the body's welfare and helps aid bowel regularity.
I am an experienced Kinesiologist, practicing since 1995. I specialise in Endocrine Kinesiology and apply a holistic treatment with an emphasis on blood type, nutrition treatment and osteopathy. I am a highly qualified independent specialist, earning an outstanding reputation among my professional peers from all corners of the globe.
I am based in the United Kingdom with clinics in London, Kingsbridge and Plymouth. In addition, I also work overseas within specialist clinics in Florida and Gran Canaria. For many years I have worked closely with a London based laboratory who have years of research on their nutritional products. This enables me to ensure I recommend the highest quality products to my clients.
